About Dr. Tara McNamara

Professional Background

Inspired to pursue physical therapy after her own shoulder surgery rehabilitation in high school, Tara has dedicated her life to helping others regain and enhance their physical and mental capabilities.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Russell Sage College followed by a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of New York at Stony Brook.

Poker Player Support

Tara specializes in the assessment of the entire person including their complaints of pain, posture, strength and flexibility and creates a customized plan to heal and optimize an individual’s health and wellbeing. She works with her clients one-on-one in their preferred environments or online and offers group sessions and courses focusing on specific topics.

Her goal is to help people maintain their health, prevent injuries, and enhance endurance for better performance during long tournaments and cash game sessions.

Community Involvement

Tara is actively involved in community service as a board member of the Heart & Soul Charitable Fund, the Annie Eaton Society, and is a volunteer at Monday Night Hospitality, where she helps serve meals to marginalized communities in New York City.
